3 Measure Drum Challenge

During a basketball game, I was sending out sight-reading questions to the drumline. One of the questions included 8th note or 16th note five-lets. That then turned into the first measure and seeing who could play through them while keeping it in time. This was for a “get out of jail free” card during band camp. What that means for the drumline is instead of having a dropped stick launched across the football field and having to get it, they would get a free pass. The name comes from having to use the time signature and note values to find the placement or values of the things we don’t know – math!

TLDR – Here are three little measures of medium difficulty using, mostly, five-lets.
